BIOGRAPHY

Erika Petti was born on October 27, 1990, in Campobasso.
She began studying classical guitar at the age of 6, later enrolling in the Classical Guitar class at the L.Perosi Conservatory of Campobasso in 2001 under the guidance of Maestro Vallini. In 2007, she was admitted to the fifth year of the Classical Guitar course. That same year, she left the conservatory to focus on singing and started an intense live performance activity in the regional area.

In 2015, she participated as a singer in the XII edition of “Jazz in Campo” with the Simone Sala Trio. Between 2015 and 2016, she took part in the “Molise in Jazz” shows with the Leo Quartieri Quintet. In 2016, she graduated with honors in Letters and Cultural Heritage from the University of Molise.

In 2017, she joined the Jazz Singing class at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. She attended numerous masters and workshops with David Linx, Dado Moroni, Paolo Damiani, Giovanni Tommaso, Cinzia Gizzi, Mario Corvini, Daniele Roccato, Bruce Ditmas. That same year, she participated in the “Duke Ellington Sacred Concerts” as part of the Rome Jazz Festival at the Auditorium Parco della Musica with the Santa Cecilia Conservatory Choir conducted by Maestro C.Marcotulli and the New Talent Jazz Orchestra conducted by Maestro M.Corvini. She performed at the Ministry of Public Education with the Santa Cecilia Conservatory Choir during the “Nessun Parli” series.

In 2018, she joined the “Matthew Herbert’s Brexit Big Band” in the grand show staged at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. In 2019, she participated in the concert “Trovajoli and more” as part of the series “Let’s turn up the volume,” performing with Fioravanti, Zeppetella, Applebaum. In 2020, she graduated with honors in Jazz Singing from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. In 2021, she joined the touring show “La Gratitira” as a singer-actress, subsidized by the INTERREG IPA CBC ITALY-ALBANIA-MONTENEGRO PROGRAMME.

In 2022, she took part in “Jazz Idea 2022” alongside Carla Marcotulli and Nicola Stilo. That same year, she performed alongside Valeria Fabrizi, Dario Salvadori, Leopoldo Mastelloni on the occasion of the commemoration of Tata Giacobetti. In the same year, she recorded 5 solo tracks in the album “UaUà” by Giuseppe Spedino Moffa. She also participated in “Festivoce” in Pigna (Corsica) alongside Giuseppe Moffa, and in the “Festival le Vie del Barocco” (Genoa) alongside Leo Quartieri and Stefano Bagliano.

In 2023, she performed with the Erika Petti Quartet at the Casa del Jazz in Rome with the show “From Betty to Petti”. In the same year, she performed with the Erika Petti Group in the Jazz Idea 2023 Festival at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory. She also performed in the 5th edition of MUSICA IN CITTA’ for the Amici della Musica Walter De Angelis association with Manuel Petti.

She has a rich history of live performances throughout the country both as a solo artist and as a member of various musical groups of different genres. She collaborates with several recording studios as a chorus singer and songwriter. She is currently working on her first album, for which she is writing the lyrics and composing the original music.
