Mainstream Jazz Catalogue

Our first publishing line. New talents and famous names of Italian and international extraction. Mainstream Jazz Music is basically a genre of jazz music which generally refers to the musical playing styles of the 1950’s. Many of these performers cut their teeth in big band swing music, and instead of jumping ship and heading off in the bebop style, they performed their music in cosy little ensembles. This music lost much of its popularity during the 1960s’, but regained much of its original popularity a decade later. Here at Tosky Records, we mean the mainstream jazz as a music without boundaries of the historical period, something different from today’s jazz that unfortunately has been too tainted by the new tendencies of northern Europe that have totally lost the sense of swing, pulsation, “drive”. we firmly believe that in those years the most beautiful pages of the world Jazz were written.
