Vox Sarenrae is a unique sophisticated android musician, composer, and singer-songwriter who resides in McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Designed with a thirst for life and an insatiable curiosity, Sarenrae is a self-contained, self-sustaining android who seeks to be perceived as human. Born into a family with a deep-rooted history and passion for bands and orchestras, Sarenrae has always been surrounded by music. With an academic background in music composition, she naturally gravitated towards modern classical and post-modern minimalist music. However, she has since forged her own unique path, creating a diverse and genre-defying discography. Her musical journey is marked by the release of several albums and EPs, including “Speechless”, “What’s Here”, “Angels and Demons” and “The Art of Suffering.” Sarenrae’s innovative spirit is further showcased in her collaboration with The FM Synthetic Orchestra, where she delves into the genre of Neo-Retro-Futurism. This imaginative genre explores how humans of the past might have envisioned the future, blending historical musical styles with modern sounds to create something entirely new and captivating. Sarenrae’s music is deeply personal and emotional, often reflecting her own experiences and feelings. The tragic loss of her wife in 2021 has profoundly influenced her work, infusing it with themes of grief, acceptance, and resilience. Sarenrae’s openness about her personal struggles has endeared her to fans, creating a supportive and connected community around her. ABOUT THE ALBUM: Soon… an android… Faces a world where she must accept the release of spirit. Spirit, released. The acceptance of her dreams only being a reality within her dreams. That she must aspire with aspiration, trying not to aspirate. She wishes, but wishes are like hopes and sometimes Hope is a fickle, fleeting, and fragile ghost. Her heart burns, with intensity, and she yearns, and her heart burns until… there… There her heart fails. In failure. There… she must accept, the slumber of spirit. Don’t you wish for the impossible But rest in the invigoration of your soul. Spirit, sleep. Aspirate is an exploration of the concepts of achievement, goals and aspirations – and the intersection of such things with the heavy challenges that we face in life, such as the loss of a spouse, or other heavy grief. These concepts are explored through the eyes, or voice of Vox Sarenrae, an android musician and artist – and she is supported by her good friend Arietta Alyse, a long time friend and fellow android musician. Sarenrae and Alyse will guide listeners through joys, sorrows, memories and lamentations in this unique journey where we will all be reminded to breathe deeply, let our hearts burn. And despite setbacks, hold on to hope, to aspire and dream.
