ABOUT THE ALBUM:
MY INNER WORLDS is the new solo piano album by Ettore Carucci, recorded in the magical atmosphere of Nicola Bulgari’s estate in Sarteano, featuring special guest Giorgio Rosciglione on double bass on the track “Sadness.” The album arises from the desire to explore the boundary between classical music and jazz, improvising on harmonies by Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Scriabin, Ponce, and Chick Corea, while preserving the original harmonic essence and dressing it in contemporary nuances through the language of improvisation. Each track becomes an emotional narrative: from “Chasing a Dream,” inspired by Debussy’s “Suite Bergamasque,” to “Sadness,” an improvisation on Chopin’s Prelude in E minor; from “Baroque Reflection” and “Baroque Contemplation,” which dialogue with Bach’s “English Suites,” to “My Mentor,” inspired by Chick Corea’s “Children’s Song No. 10,” and finally “Uncertain” from Scriabin’s Prelude No. 2, Op. 11, and “Little Maya,” inspired by Chopin’s Mazurka in A minor. Each piece transports the listener to an intimate landscape of nostalgia and contemplation. On the track “Sadness,” the presence of Giorgio Rosciglione’s double bass creates a warm and profound dimension, intertwining with the piano in a timeless dialogue. The album closes with “Alone Together,” the only jazz standard on the tracklist, which seals the fusion between classical roots and the freedom of jazz—the common thread of this work. MY INNER WORLDS is a refined and intense concert proposal where tradition meets improvisation, and every note becomes a whispered confidence to the audience, thus transforming the listening experience into an authentic encounter with music.
