Boz Trio

Boz Trio is an ensemble of five musicians specializing in the repertoire of traditional Yiddish and Eastern European music. It was born in December 2011 as a group made up of three people from different musical backgrounds with a great passion for popular music in common; over the years of activity, the starting trio has assimilated other components up to the current team that since 2016 has brought its own musical message with a decisive charisma. Since the beginning, the spirit of the group has been to maintain a strong heterogeneity, in order to musically recreate different musical traditions that have always been connected: Klezmer, Gypsy, Balkan and Greek music find themselves living together as in a multi-ethnic neighborhood of a big city , giving life to a lively and colorful cosmos. The concerts of the Boz Trio find space in the most disparate contexts: the exuberant and hyperbolic character of popular music animates a suitable show to different realities: from the big stages of a summer festival, to the stage of a theater, to farmhouses and historic houses without forgetting the streets of all of Europe on busking tours.

Rouben Vitali, concert performer, teacher of clarinet, saxophone and ensemble music, has been a permanent member of the KlezParade Orchestra since 2019, a 16-piece formation that brings together musicians specialized in the Jewish music of the world. In 2011 he founded the Boz Trio, a group specialized in the Ashkenazi and Gypsy Jewish musical tradition, with which he recorded four albums.

Davide Longoni was born with the electric guitar and grew up with acoustics. After years of playing traditional music and covers in Italy and Europe, he focuses on creative research through electronic experimentation and composition.

Simone Draetta, classically trained violinist, graduated from the Claudio Abbado Civic School of Music in Milan, his hometown. Without forgetting his musical roots, he brought his instrument into the most various genres of modern music, from tango to Klezmer, from Jazz to experimental music.

Luca Pedeferri, years spent studying classical piano in the conservatory and ear accordion with his grandfather. Omnivorous musical tastes (jazz, rock, classical and contemporary music, popular and author music) have led him to play (almost) every genre with joy in the most disparate situations.

Alberto Capsoni, Milan 1982, devotes himself first to the study of the electric bass and then of the jazz double bass, with maestro Riccardo Vigoré. He has been part of various musical formations, exploring a variety of genres from rock, to blues, to soul, to finally arrive at popular music.
