At Tosky Records, we’ve always lived and breathed jazz. From mainstream to new expressions, even exploring AI-driven collaborations — our focus has always been the music that moves us.

But the truth is, jazz has never existed in isolation.

Blues, soul, funk, rock — these sounds shaped jazz as much as jazz shaped them.
There’s no Head Hunters without funk. No jazz-rock without Hendrix. No hip hop without both.

For years, we wanted to open the Tosky catalog to this broader sonic ecosystem. But it required the right partner — not just technical excellence, but a clear sonic identity.

Enter Dom di Tommaso & The Creek Hide

Dom di Tommaso is a sound engineer and producer with over 30 years of experience. His work has resonated across iconic London venues like EartH Hackney, Village Underground, and Shepherd’s Bush Empire. But beyond engineering, Dom is a musician and composer — someone who doesn’t just record sound, but understands its intent.

This philosophy materialized in The Creek Hide, a recording studio and creative retreat in the Italian countryside.

The studio is built around an all-wood acoustic concept, featuring:

A control room centered on an MCI JH636 console with vintage outboard gear
A large live room with a Yamaha baby grand piano
A dedicated tone room with Hammond organ, Leslie 147, guitars, amps, and drum kits

Artists live on-site, fully immersed in the creative process — record, rest, and repeat. No distractions. Just sound.

Introducing RAW SIDE

RAW SIDE is a new editorial line by Tosky Records®, developed in partnership with “The Creek Hide”.

It’s dedicated to blues, rock, funk, new soul, and hip hop — genres that share a deep rhythmic and cultural DNA with jazz.

Our approach remains unchanged:

No shortcuts in production
High-end mastering
Careful, global distribution
