Only For The Moment (CD Album)
Daniele Cordisco, Ben Paterson, Elio Coppola | Tosky Records®
An exceptional trio combining technical elegance and great interplay. The American organist, Ben Paterson, is accompanied by two long-standing musicians in the Italian music scene: Daniele Cordisco on guitar and Elio Coppola on drums. This project, “Only For The Moment”, proposes a nice jazz repertoire revisiting the style of the great Jimmy Smith. We also rediscover all the Jazz and Blues sounds that highlight the origins of the organist and singer from Philadelphia. The trio wears a whole mainstream outfit made up of different original compositions, written by each component of this new line-up.
Daniele Cordisco, (Campobasso,1988), boasts a professional musician career. He shared the stage with: Jeff Young, Fabrizio Bosso, Danilo Rea, Max Ionata, Gary Smulyan, Godwin Louis, Gege’ Munari, Giorgio & Dario Rosciglione, Jimmy LaRocca, Deidda brothers, Gregory Hutchinson, Sarah McKenzie, Ronnie Cuber, Roberto Gatto, Donna McElroy, Roy Hargrove, Esperanza Spalding, Denise King, Stjepko Gut and others. He recorded his first album in 2014, ìThis Could Be The Start, (Nuccia). Today he teaches jazz guitar at the Conservatorio di Musica G. Da Venosa, in Potenza and at the Centro Ottavia, in Rome.
Ben Paterson has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting young pianists on the current jazz scene. Originally from Philadelphia, he studied both classical and jazz music and now he is based in New York. He performs regularly at top-notch venues in his city, and at clubs and festivals around the world. Some notable collaborations: NEA Jazz Master Von Freeman, Bobby Broom, Johnny O’Neal, Red Holloway, Eldee young, Jerry Weldon, Peter Bernstein and Ed Cherry to name a few, and opening performances for groups like Steely Dan and B.B. King. Ben has released 6 CDs under his own name.

He played with Benny Golson, Joey De Francesco, Peter Bernstein, Dado Moroni, Emmet Cohen, Ronnie Cuber and others. He has recently released his first album Infinity, performing in New York, and in major jazz venues in the States.
